Privacy Policy

VERO, Inc. has strict standards and procedures (“Privacy Procedures”) designed to prevent unauthorized access to “Customer Information”. We apply the Privacy Procedures to our facility, on-line services and third-party service providers. We permit only authorized employees, who have been trained in the proper handling of Customer Information, to have access to that information. If an employee were to violate VERO’s Privacy Procedures, they would be subject to disciplinary action, including termination, and prosecution. If a third-party service provider were to violate VERO’s Privacy Procedures, they too would be subject to contract breach remedies, including termination of their contract and litigation.

Information Collection Procedures for Opening Accounts

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each customer who opens an account. Therefore, all new and existing customers are subject to the identity verification requirements. When you enroll with VERO, we will ask for your name, address and government-issued identification, for identification purposes. We may also request to see a driver’s license or other identifying documents in subsequent transactions with us. In all cases, VERO is committed to protecting your privacy and identity.

Collecting Information

We collect, retain, and use Customer Information in order to provide products and services to our customers. We collect Customer Information from the following sources:

• Information we receive from our customers on applications or other forms;
• Information about our customers’ transactions with us, or others;
• Information we receive from credit reporting agencies and market research agencies;
• Information we receive from public sources, such as federal, state or local records (e.g. driver license agency, address verification sources)

Limiting The Information We Share

We do not share any information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law. We do not sell or otherwise share any Customer Information with outside companies for purposes of selling their products or services to our customers.

Disclosing Information In Other Situations

We may disclose Customer Information to public safety agencies, credit bureaus and similar organizations, where permitted by law. This may include a disclosure in connection with a subpoena or similar legal process, or a fraud investigation.

Protecting Information

Keeping Customer Information, including financial information, secure is one of our most important responsibilities. We restrict access to Customer Information to those employees and third party service providers who need to know that information to provide products or services to our customers. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard our customers’ non-public personal information. We educate our employees and third-party service providers about the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy.

Maintaining Accurate Information

Keeping our customers’ account information accurate and up-to-date is very important. We provide our customers with access to their account information through our toll free support number and web access. If a customer notifies us that his or her account information is incomplete, inaccurate or not current, upon proper customer and account identification, we will promptly update or correct any erroneous information.

Online Information Practices

VERO uses technology that encrypts (encodes) online information so it is transferred privately between all points of our network and any points of our partner’s or information provider’s networks. A customer’s government-issued identification and personal identification number (PIN) help to protect this information online. VERO contracts with certain third parties to deliver online products and services. VERO and these outside parties may keep some information a customer provided in order to deliver these services, such as online tools and applications, online surveys, e-mail, and cookies.

Honoring Our Customers’ Preferences

If a customer notifies us that he or she does not want to receive marketing offers for products and services from VERO, we will honor this request. Such requests should be sent to Client Services – Privacy Officer, VERO, Inc., P.O. Box 3266, Tualatin, OR 97062 or contact us at service [AT] trustvero.com.
